Your essay or rewritten song lyrics are due today, Friday, May 15, 2009.

Essays must be typed.

If you have time please type your rewritten song lyrics and include a copy of the original song when you turn your assignment in.

Attention: I would like to hear these songs when I grade your assignments so try to find an online version and create a link to the website or bring in a CD, ipod, phone, or other way to let the class listen you your song on Monday.

Poetry Updates / New Projects

1. Make sure you have a "Snazzy Blog." See previous posts. Your blogs need to have the requirements if you want an "A." All other grades will be assigned based on what you have completed.

2. Post your Everyday Photo poem and Personal Photo poem with pictures. Photos for the Everyday Photos can be found on this blog. Remember to cite your sources using MLA standards. I am the artist for all photos except "The Scream" by artist Edmund Munch.

Ms. Stoner in the Writing Center will help you scan or upload your photos to your folder so you can include them on your blog.

3. What is a Wiki? Check out Wikipedia.org and make a post a comment here about wikis and what you think of them.

4. Work on a Wiki for FHS Poetry by clicking here and add your one-sentence summaries for Chapter 8: Allusion, or definitions and examples for any literary terms and academic vocabulary for Poetry.
